Day 1of 365
0of 365 days
Morning, lunch or evening, they all add up. One missed day is life. Two in a row starts a new streak.
No gear, no gym, two minutes, anywhere. They work your chest, shoulders, arms and core, and they scale from the wall to the floor. Fun fact: a 2019 Harvard study followed 1,104 firefighters for ten years. The men who could do more than 40 push-ups had a 96% lower risk of heart disease events than those who did fewer than 10. One study, one group of men, so no promises. Still a good reason to start.
Not if you keep it easy. Do a few sets and stop before you can't do another one. Save max tests for now and then. Sore wrists or shoulders? Go to the wall, or take the day off.
Perfect, start at the wall. Then the kitchen counter, then your knees, then the floor. They all count, and so does every day you show up.
One missed day is life, and your streak survives it. Two in a row starts a new streak, but every day you've done still counts.
Streaks break. Days add up. The point isn't a perfect run. It's still doing push-ups years from now.

Danne, a dad from Sundsvall. I'm not a PT. I've just been training most of my life, and I do push-ups every day too.
